Remember Mitik? The super-cute walrus orphan who was flown FedEx from the Alaska SeaLife Center to a new home at the New York Aquarium? Having been separated from his mother - a fate that may befall walruses more frequently as sea ice declines and walrus habitat disappears in a changing climate - he found himself confronted with a storm 3500 miles from his original home. Fortunately, Mitik is safe and well, but the New York Aquarium needs help to repair the damage it suffered in the storm.
